Jim’s Mandala

Jim Wilford Oxford Quilt Guild (Canada)

Spiros, I love mornings like this, when I get pictures of finished quilts from former students.

This one is from Jim Wilford, who took the Magic Mirror Mandala Quilts workshop with me last fall at the Oxford Quilt Guild in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada.  As you can see, Jim used only black and white fabrics. This made him focus on contrasting values (dark, medium, light) to show the structure of the design, and pattern to add texture.  The results are . . . Magnificent!
