Before you begin this project: When Quilters Newsletter edited this pattern for the magazine, they omitted all of the instructions I wrote for how to cut and sew it. In addition, they recommended cutting all the fabric to the shapes of the templates, which I specifically teach my students not to do – the method is simply too labor-intensive and prone to mistakes.
